The Interior Design Process
My interior design process starts with the assessment of a feasible budget, the exploration of the space function, the determination of the style direction, and a time frame for project completion.
The design features that I incorporate can be based on an initial Feng Shui analysis or a straightforward interior design consultation. Every design is based on a layered approach, with basic physical elements like flooring, lighting, wall color, furniture, decor, and more. The two combined enhance the look and feel of the space, creating a perfectly individualized and energetic environment.
I offer residential, corporate, and home office interior design services in San Diego. I can also help with ergonomic furniture, indoor plants, and other miscellaneous interior design needs.
There are four fundamental steps to my process:
1. Design & Style Consultation
We’ll begin with a consultation to discover what you’re looking for in terms of style, space, and aesthetic.
If desired, this will also include the Feng Shui Consultation and Assessment; this will address your aspirations for the space, including how you’ll be spending time in each room and what you’d like it to accomplish.
2. Budget Planning
We’ll discuss the scope of the project and lay out a feasible budget, which will include all items purchased and work completed.
3. Project Timeline
Once we’ve figured out the details regarding the interior design, I’ll put together a final project timeline and an estimated completion date.
4. Master Design Plan & Implementation
I’ll weave in the remaining additional layers to the design to bring your space to life. Layering completes the plan and gives you that professional ‘designer’
I’ll provide you with the final master design plan, which will include:
- List of purchases
- Permanent flooring
- Furniture placement
- Wall art
- Fabric and Textiles
- Window Coverings
My approach to Interior Design achieves more than aesthetics; it treats the whole home as a reflection of who you are.
Together, we can make your home feel like the sanctuary it’s supposed to be.
