The Home Staging Process
A well-staged home will entice buyers to make an offer, or can dramatically update and modernize the look of a home you’ve lived in for a while.
By adding updated accessories or rearranging furniture, you can transform the interior spaces of your home to better facilitate visual symmetry and functionality.
I work with individuals or Realtors® who want to sell their home, or with individuals looking to give their home a stylish update. H
There are five fundamental steps to my process:
1. Initial Consultation
During the initial home staging consultation, I’ll get to know your needs and wants for your home.
Whether you are selling or wanting a new look. I’ll work with you to assess the contents and overall condition of your home.
2. Space Assessment
I’ll assess how we can best utilize the space and features in your home.
For this, I like to use a combination of my Feng Shui knowledge and interior design expertise to assess the space. The goal here is to determine how we can showcase the home’s best features in a synergistic, productive, and aesthetically pleasing way.
3. Proposal
After my evaluation and walkthrough, I will create a plan designed specifically to showcase your home’s unique features, declutter to improve flow and functionality, update where necessary (furniture, art, color scheme, etc.), and create a joyful, abundant living environment.
4. Implementation
This is the fun part!
We can either do it together or I can give you my list of recommendations, which typically includes any or all of the following:
- Repositioning furniture to optimize space, flow, and efficiency
- Highlighting architectural or otherwise unique details
- Eliminating clutter
- Replacing or removing furniture and accessories
- Reassessing color scheme and wall color
- Updating lighting
- Changing window and floor treatments
- Minor repairs and updates
5. Review and Revise
We’ll complete a final walkthrough and ensure that everything looks perfect and ready to sell, or ready for you to enjoy as a new, updated version of your home!
